When Ashley and John tied the knot, they'd known each other over half their lives. Their romance started at the ages of 10 and 11 when they met at a summer swim team league in Roudup, Montana.
Throughout their younger years, despite living in different towns, their friendship evolved over weekends spent together at swimming competitions. They dated while attending the University of Montana but went separate ways when John moved to New Mexico and Ashley to Las Vegas. However, distance couldn't keep them apart, and the magnetic connection that steered them together as kids propelled them together as adults.
To celebrate more than a decade of love, Ashley and John threw a huge Big Sky Wedding at Big Sky Resort. The morning erupted in blue sky, a relief from the rain that pounded them during the weeklong celebration leading up to their big day.
Their ski resort wedding began with a first look in an alpine meadow near the base area. After a few formals, their ceremony under the pavilion tent left many in tears as they watched two Montana kids return home to say I do.
Love radiated off everyone gathered for the occasion, especially during the reception as the revelers laughed and danced their way through the night.
Today, I'm sure, will be the first of many anniversaries for Ashley and John. May your road go on forever and your party never end.
